hopbin9
Hi, Is this normal. On large scenes clicking anything in the 3D view to select a primitive type in the SOP editor will cause Houdini to freeze for long periods before responding again. Is this a problem with my video card, or is Houdini really this slow at picking geometry?
3__
Its just really slow at picking geometry.
LFX
Reminds me of a problem with an ATI graphics card.
lukeiamyourfather
Reminds me of a problem with an ATI graphics card. Yup. Not sure why that's an issue. My Radeon HD 3870 is great for everything except selecting geometry from the viewport. No issues during selecting geometry with a Quadro, go figure. What graphics card does the system have? hopbin9
I've got an ATI Radeon HD 4800 card with 1GB. It was on sale when I built the system and couldn't resist. If more work comes in I'll be changing it out for a nVidia
