Fluid emitter issue - Fountain

Hi,

I recently posted on here for some help regarding a water fountain I'm trying to make, and thanks to a couple of really helpful members, I've made some progress and have learnt along the way :)

Now though, after altering the step size, speed stretching and filtering, I'm confronted with another head scratcher. My render currently features a 'bald patch' at the top of the fountain just as it begins to fall down. I've attached an image to hopefully show this more clearly than I can explain.

Has anyone got any idea where I may have gone wrong to have accidentally achieved this?

Many thanks again in advance.

Is the "bald" patch in the geometry as well or just in the render? If in the geometry as well the filtering on the mesh is probably too aggressive.

It's just in the render, I've attached a screenshot from the viewer in Houdini.

That was quick btw ;)

What about the mesh? That's just the particles. Click on the display flag for particlefluidsurface1 (node) so it turns blue (instead of pink/purple) and post a screenshot from that.

Aha! I see what you mean! I've attached the screenshot, you were right :D The mesh shows the exact same patch of...baldness/lack of fluid.

So do you think the filtering may be too aggressive? I'm going to make some changes now and see how the mesh and render turns out. I'm so new to the world of fluid simulations and Houdini, all this is really just a big guessing game for me right now :D Loving every minute though, I've tried C4D and Maya various times and just can't relate, but, regardless of how amateur my current approach is, and my lack of knowledge/skill at present, I really am enjoying working in Houdini thoroughly! It seems very logical, even at this early stage, so I'm looking forward to building a more advanced and solid knowledge of it over time.

Until then, have you any tips on how I could improve this supposed 'fountain'? :D

Thanks again for your help amigo.
