remlorestudios
This is the opening scene for the movie we are currently working on RETURN. The light serves as an idea, but a more realistic light will be put in later. The particles and fluids are kept low to keep render times low to get the feel for the scene. Lighthouse opening scene Very interesting! There's a moment where the "suspension of disbelief" fails slightly, and that's when you see the face of the cliff right beneath the lighthouse and the face looks all round and almost "man-made". But then you see the rest of the cliff and the feeling fades... The waves looked good, even with the cropped render and low res... so the up res should be very cool! Matt_K
Hey Allen, Having been a surfer for many years, I must say you have nailed the wave motion! Looks very natural and believable! The only thing that seems amiss to me is that at the start there's no lingering foam (as one would expect from a previous wave). But great work and I look forward to seeing the final piece! Matt. remlorestudios
Yes, def. going to add an animated foam map in the beginning there. Thanks for the uplifting comments!
