Emitting smoke

hi, everyone, I have created a attribute N, and I want to use this attribute to define the initial direction of smoke.

I know I can add a Gas Particle To Field DOP to import N and effect vel. but there is no change in my case which I edited the Source Apply DOP adding a Gas Particle Particle To Field DOP.

how can I do?

The easiest way is to set the point velocity attribute on the source geometry instead of the point normal attribute. Then on the solver (probably pyro?) set the source velocity type to point velocity instead of the default (advanced tab, sources tab). Then the objects that are sources should automatically adopt the point velocity and push it into the simulation.
