MG
I installed Houdini 5.5 recently and I don't know how to make Materials (MATs). Are they taken out or so? If not, where can I find them? Thanks in advance!
chang
There is a variable for turning on MAT. I saw it on houdini-mailing-list but I can't find it now. Anyone remember the name of it ? Or the command in textport for showing all of variable names ?

chang
Stremik, many many thanks ! -- For the guys like me who look for an answer, put next below in alias/variable dialog. HOUDINI_COPTOPMAT 1 (In my case, after I set this, there was a corruption in OP lists. But after restart, setting it again, It was okay)
Stremik
No problemo Say... I've set this variable as a system variable in Windows but I see you've done it inside Houdini. Is there a difference?
Stremik
Almost forgot! You can find out here what command to use in texport to display all of Houdini's variables.

Is there a difference? With change on alias/variable dialog, it only affect the hip it's written on. No change for other projects. But I'll set by your method. I think it's better for me now. And thanks for the link !!
