Netvudu
Hi, I know that I can use ASCII for pesky characters in the Font Node. But..is there a way to use them without resorting to ascii?....I mean getting stuff like "ñ" or "ó" or similar things just writing it out... I ask because writing full texts in spanish requires a lot of similar characters and using ascii for all of them would be reeeeallly slow. lukeiamyourfather
I think what you're asking for is unicode, not sure if Houdini supports this or not. If it doesn't then that would be a good feature to request from SESI. Meanwhile there are converters out there to convert unicode texts to ASCII (assuming there's an equivalent). Google found this one but there's probably better out there. Edited July 13, 2011 by lukeiamyourfather
kubabuk
You can access certain character of a font using the escape character: \0186 - but unfortunately this is quite limited method. RFE ID# 41725 has been submitted some time ago. k.
