Hair diffuse with no shadow

Recommended Posts

If it's a vop add the direct lighting vop. That would be the most direct way. It pipes off the bsdf chain, you can look at the mantra surface node. If you need it in code, just isolate that node, and view the vex code on it. I haven't looked inside a hair shader, to be more specific.

The funny thing is I still don't get what that pass is useful for since lighting is the creation of shadows, it seems like a catch 22 to me.

Thanks for the feedback!

The lighting is being generated by the hair diffuse shop, i don't know how to make a iluminance loop to isolate the lighting from the shadows on a hair, that's what i am trying to find out.

I use this pass so I can have more control over the intensity of the diffuse only and also the intensity of the shadows over it.

Is this the default hair shader that ships with h11?
