pyro render suggestion

Hi

I have my ipr and have been modifying tweaking my variables in the SHOP.

1)could someone tell me till what percentage of render in ipr is sufficient to note the changes?

2)and also is there a way to speed up the render.I am using Intel core 2 quad Q9000@2.0GHz with 8gigs of ram and an NVidia Geforce 9400.

1. I dont use the "preview" mode in ipr. Usually I try to find a god area and shift+LMB drag a region to render.

Also a tip is to do the smoke and fire separately before activating the scatter.

2. Use depth map shadows, dont go crazy on your mantra settings and most important... Write your sim to disk before you render it!
