adding points to group

Hi All,

let me know if this topics should be move to an other forum.

I'm trying to do something pretty simple, but can't figure out how.

I have 2 geometries. one sphere, one wall type. The sphere is animated to run around on the surface of the wall.

I scatter points on the wall and would like the points close to the sphere to be added a group. almost looking like someone is drawing on the wall and the brush is selecting the points.

make any sense?

thanks for any help

If You use attribute transfer inside of sopsolver you will get the expected result.

you already posted that on the sidefx forum dude, no crossposting please -.-

Sorry I didn't know it wasn't allow, I didn't mean to spam anyone. I wasn't sure the same people were reading both forum.

as my question was pretty basic I thought it could help others. share the knowledge.

Thank you for your reply by the way.

Your help was much appreciated.

My apologies if I disturbed, annoyed or bother anyone, it wasn't my intend.

best regards

bil
