Thirdeye
Hi folks, Now I know most of you are poly modelers, but does anyone out there know why the Join SOP makes a smooth nurbs model look like a low res poly mesh? It still renders correctly but looks like rubbish in the viewport and hinders further modelling. Does this still happen in 5.5 Jason? Any info or workaround on this would be great. plan9
did you try to resample or refine?
TheUsualAlex
Hi Ian, I believe that the rough looking NURBS are attributed to the level of detail. Houdini's level of detail is set to 1 by default. You can change this LOD by going to the Display Option (or hit the 'd' key in the viewport) and to go the Viewport tab. The higher the LOD is, the slower your scene will be when it gets more complex. Thirdeye
Thanks Alex, you are quite right. It's good to know it's not a bug in my version or anything like that. Cheers Ian
