And when I try to import it back in to Houdini via the file SOP I get an error: "unable to read file". I don't have a clue why it can't read. The sim finished without problems and there is no compression for the files. Is the files just broken? It's nice that the files are filled with errors after a 24 hour simulation Thanks for answers! If you saved the data in DOPs, it's probably .simdata, and should be read in DOPs with the File DOP. File SOP reads and write object data, they are different beasts.
