TheUsualAlex
Howdy, Does anyone here know how to extract the .hgz file from Houdini's CD? I am trying to extract the old demo.hgz from Houdini 4.1 CD. Cheers, Alex

TheUsualAlex
Hmm.... But isn't the .hgz is sidefx's proprietary or something? I remember reading somewhere a year or so ago about extracting the .hgz content from the Houdini CD through some command line... I just can't recall how. Oh well. Thanks. I'll take a look. stevenong
You can install the demos by running Houdini 4.1 installation but select the 'Custom' installation option. Then, uncheck all options except Demos.
