Hello world
I have a custom pyro setup.I have bgeo'ed lowres.I have problem with upres The upres is playing in the upres dop node.however I dop i/o doesnt seem to extract.I have also tried using object merge ../../:upresdop/pyro. but i dont see anything in the view port. any pointers on this? lukeiamyourfather
In my opinion you're better off to just run a higher resolution simulation. The performance of volume simulations in Houdini 12 is so fast it has made the upres workflow obsolete.
Netvudu
I wouldn´t go that far luke (even if you were my father ) It´s true that upressing ain´t a need anymore, but it´s also true that raising the pyro container divisions almost always changes the fluid behaviour in some way (sometimes dramatically). So IMHO upressing can still be a valid method when you are quite happy with the motion and behaviour of your lowres testing. Hello world
I dont see anything in the dop i/o. I tried to extract density, heat, temperature, fuel, vel but i am not able to see anything in the viewport.
JuriBryan
mhhhh trie to take the velocity field of the lowers simulation and drive some particles with it... and then drive a totally new pyro simulations with those particles... u should get the same motion and the same look but just in a better quality.... dont change any settings or what so ever on the new pyro sim... just up res it and bring the particles as vector field. That could solve ur problems, maybe;P
