JuriBryan
hey everyone, I am looking for technical papers from siggraph and i can't seam to find them, and if I find some there are not for houdini or FX. Is there a good source for Technical papers about FX, and tool writing for Houdini? I was reading some of the post in the code corner and in the shading section and I and I saw that i just no nothing at all about coding tools and the more technical subject of houdini, like micro solvers,VEX and how to get it all working with C++ or C. So i am trying to teach my self how to do that, and I think that technical papers would help me a lot in doing so... I am open for every input:) cheers Juri
magneto
SIdefx masterclass videos are the closest thing I can think of. In fact the last video is about building micro solvers from scratch http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=134&Itemid=344 Some very smart people there making these videos, and I am sure everyone appreciates it. Alain
All SIGGRAPH technical papers are hosted online in the ACM Digital Library (SIGGRAPH is a Special Interest Group of the ACM). You can reach the ACM DL. Searched are free, access to the content is not. If you are a SIGGRAPH member, access to the SIGGRAPH content hosted in the ACM DL is included as part of your member benefits. SIGGRAPH members also get free access to the Encore video library of sessions of past conferences. The cost of membership is $42/year. =Alain hey everyone, I am looking for technical papers from siggraph and i can't seam to find them...
