Holes in the geometry

the reason for this in your scene is that border points are not fused and have different normal therefore mountain SOP is pushing them in different directions splitting them apart

even though you have Fuse SOP there it cannot fuse the points, because you have flipped Normals on the inner U shape

to solve this either prepend Reverse SOP the left input of merge1 node

OR much simpler, just tick Output Back on polyextrude2, then continue directly with xform1 node, so you can completely delete merge1 and fuse1 SOPs
