Annon Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Kind of, the idea is that you can change stuff depending on what you are outputting. So for instance, you could have a take called "beauty" that has a normal shader on an object and a take called "matt" that has a constant shader on the same object. Then in /out you can have two mantras, selecting which take each one will render out, that way you can output a matt pass and beauty pass without having to change anything. Of course this can go a lot further than this concept, but it gets quite frustrating to keep track of; of course there's more than one way to skin a cat, this is just one of them.
