slamfunk
Hey guys, been working with the Attract Fluid shelf tool to get two bursts of smoke attract to the word COUGH and then form it. Everything works fine except for the fact that once the smoke is contained by the COUGH volume it becomes jittery with every frame. I have tried tweaking the equalizedensity and blenddensity to no avail. Any ideas how I could get the smoke to calm down once it is contained by the COUGH volume? Thanks Edited November 23, 2012 by slamfunk
slamfunk
Notice the smoke contained within the COUGH seems to have high frequency noise applied to it but that shouldn't be the case. And when you Flipbook it the "noise" changes with every frame.

Macha
Your sim is probably continuing to solve. The solver doesn't allow your smoke to contract (or expand) unless specifically told so. You attract, and it counteracts any possible contraction by making stuff move about. You'll either have to mess with something deep inside the solver, which is likely to be very tricky (I've tried that before) or you build some sort of solution that replaces any correctly filled voxel (those in the target) by a static voxel (say, if target voxel is filled, keep and set sim voxel to zero)
