Is there a way to break off/unfuse an open polygon?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an open polygon where I want to break off each edge into a separate polygon. I tried the facet sop, fuse sop (unique tab), but they didn't do anything.

The order of the points are random, and I have multiple polygons that are like this that I need to break off into separate polygons at once.

So something like this:

I was hoping this would be done without using the foreach sop. But all ideas are welcome.

Thanks :)

It is a bug. I opened the file and replicated the issue. Appended a second Carve SOP and it got it.

Yes submit the bug in to Side Effects. One of the primitives contains three points coming out of the Carve SOP. Applying a second Carve SOP splits this primitive correctly.

If you haven't submitted a bug before, now's a good time to do it. Remember to attach the hip file to the bug as it may be specific to the geometry.
