kleer001
So I've got this satisfactory looking fireball, but there's some crazy flickering dots in the flame_mask layer. I'm working in 12.5.376 I think I've hit all the switches and fiddled all the knobs that could possibly make this go away (but obviously I haven't found the right one). What the heck is this stuff and how do I make it go away? Has anyone else fought this stuff? What am I missing this time? Image is from frame 30, but you can see them as early as the flame comes on. flameThrower_05.hip
anim
it seems to be caused by stochastic transparency either turn it off or use micropoly not sure if that is a technical limitation of stochastic sampling or a bug though
kleer001
Ahhh, cool, thank you! For some reason I thought I needed to use Stochastic transparency. Ha, I guess not.
Guest tar
Try setting the fire_mask Sample Filter to Full Opacity Filtering.
