please ,How to Import an Obj model with texture

please , How to Import an Obj model with texture on it ,in houdini ?

when i import an obj file from 3ds max to houdini , the model work well , but i don't know the steps that i have to follow to make the texture of the obj show in houdini .

Thanks alot woodenduck :) , so i think there is no way to import uv and texture with the obj from 3Ds max to houdini , i think you have to repeat the mapping work and texturing in houdini from the begining ?

There is a way, but I never use OBJ for that matter, since our pipeline is based on alembic. That being said, you might have to either find another exporter script/plugin or try another format.

I personally only do my modeling in Maya/Blender and all the rest in Houdini.

Obj format does not defined texture or materials, .mtl does, but Houdini won't care about that.

Export fbx from max and you'll be fine. You'll get materials (basic) with texture. Also your smoothing groups, differents UVs, vertex color, etc, will be preserved.
