saotome_rui
Hi guys. I have a question i imported the animation to Houdini from Maya to simulated the water by use alembic plugin. but i found the geometry in Houdini is very very big. i turn the particle separation value up. but it not work. i could even not found particles in the scene. How to solve this problem? i don't think i can scale the animation because that i want to export the particle from H to 3dsmax for krakatoa rendering. any comment will be great. yongbin
Maybe you can scale down your scene, and scale up after sim?
Hudson
I would also recommend that you scale down your scene. specially if you want to get the correct size for the simulation. It might depends but I think you have to scale down 10 times or so in order to achieve a correct size in houdini
lukeiamyourfather
Units in Houdini are meters. Most other applications the units are centimeters (for modeling anyway). Use a translate node after you import the file with a scale of something like 0.01 (centimeters to meters).
