magneto
Hi, They have different signatures but do they use the same code inside? I feel like primuv is the latest one? Thanks
Jason
Do they give the same results?
magneto
Oh yes, they seem to return the same values I suspected the primuv to be the latest because of its overloads which are similar to other new VEX functions. If that's the case though, the older ones should be flagged as obsolete I think.
tjeeds
Friday, December 21, 2012 Houdini 12.5.260: Add the primuv vex function. This is a reworked prim_attribute function designed to work more like the primuv hscript expression. The only difference is that prim_attribute take a float u and float v, and primuv takes a uvw vector Thursday, January 17, 2013 Houdini 12.5.287: The new xyzdist and primuv vex functions now take a vector for uv rather than a pair of floats. This lets them handle 3d barycentric coordinates, as found in tets.
