Are primuv and prim_attribute VEX functions the same?

Houdini 12.5.260: Add the primuv vex function. This is a reworked prim_attribute function designed to work more like the primuv hscript expression.

The only difference is that prim_attribute take a float u and float v, and primuv takes a uvw vector

Houdini 12.5.287: The new xyzdist and primuv vex functions now take a vector for uv rather than a pair of floats. This lets them handle 3d barycentric coordinates, as found in tets.
