edward Posted November 23, 2013 Share Posted November 23, 2013 On Windows, Alembic relies on Microsoft's iostream library, which had bugs where it cannot seek past 4GB. So the VC9 build will for sure break. I'm not sure why it would have worked in H12.5 vs H13.0 though, perhaps they rely more on seeking in the newer Alembic version. You can try the VC11 build to see if it's better but as I recall, it's only somewhat better. Someone told me that this issue has already been raised in the Alembic mailing lists, but I'm not sure what they did about it (if anything).
