Hello world
Hi i have animated noise for my vel in sopland and suppose if i want to cache it out, it cosumes around 140-150mb per frame.even though i use bgeo.gz compression its still high.Is there any way we can optimize this so that it consumes less space.is there any field that could be removed. This is for a fire simulation.Let me know! cheers!! bunker
did you have a look at the Volume Compress SOP?
Hello world
@bunker will it anyway affect the quality of the sim?
Guest tar
use it just enough so you don't notice it.

Guest tar
For even more speed it's worth investing in a Raid, with standard drives, for your sim caches. It really makes a huge difference
Hello world
any known reason why my sim flames are blurry in render.Does volcompress have impact on renders.Div size is 0.045.Still I am not getting a perfect result of what i want. I want my flames to be crispy and in high quality(have temp diffusion as low as 0.005 and also played wit vel in source volumes Do i need to bump up the pixel samples or reduce the volume step size to get the image look good?
