Null and bones viewport transparency

Hi,

 

Bones or Null objects in the scene are always drawn when an object is in front of them. This is a different behavior from "normal" geometry that is covered if it is behind another object as seen from the camera.

Is this a rendering property that can be changed? Or is it a specific property of bone and Null objects?

If it is a rendering property where and how can it be changed?
