Guest tar
Is your render using ray-tracing?
skip_odforce
No, I use physically based rendering I found there was something to do with the camera. I exported the camera from MAYA via FBX, and scaled it from 1 to 0.01 The image looked like the ocean surface had been cut top part. I created a new camera from houdini and snapped it to the camera from Maya and rendered. It works. I wonder if there is a correct work flow of exporting camera from Maya to Houdini and make sure the ocean waves will also be rendered correctly? mawi
Big NO NO. Dont scale cameras!
merlino
Try using Alembic and not FBX. Probably you'll end up with less problems.

skip_odforce
Thank you marty and merlno, I will try. By the way, I wonder how you render the passes(or AOVs) of the ocean waves. Especially the diffuse, reflection, refraction, velocity and vorticity. Is there any tutorial? Edited May 25, 2014 by skip_odforce

fathom
you can also insert a scale to return to unity and all will be good.
