Doum
Hi, I have linked a hip file where I have done this with mesh in vop and I'm trying to do the same operation with VDB inside a volume VOP. Someone can help me with that? Closest_location_VDB.hip
edward
Sorry, no time to open .hip files but if you're trying to find the closest location to an SDF, use the VDB Analysis to compute a VDB of the closest locations.
Doum
Thanks edward for the reply, That the way I think I have to go, but I have no clue which node to use inside vop, I have checked the openvdb exemple file and saw the use of the closest location there. Do I have to compute the closest point for the 2 geometry? What I got for the moment is a vdb from poly for the sphere and the box + closest point for the 2 and merge them together plugged in a volume vop. how do you add or apply the deformation to the level set since it a scalar and the closest point is a vector ? I'm a bit lost with vdb, if one of you have some more examples to share with vdb and volume vop I'll be interested to see them. Thanks Doum
kev2
Hi Doum, Did you make any progress using the VDB closest points node? I've been working with it and VDB advect points but not getting anywhere. Thanks,Kevin
