Need help for some 'How to transform primitives' understanding

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

its my first post here and I hope for some help.

I'm new and still trying to understand some Houdini Basics.

My current Problem is to find where I get some transformation data from a primitive and how to set them back after modifying or to give them to another object.

I have a Sim with an animated packed RBD. As far as I know, there is no 'Use Deforming Geometry' for packed RBD, but that is what I need.

I use a SOP Solver to control the activation of different parts of the packed RBD and I want the other pieces to use the current animation as long as they are inactive.

I managed to transfer the translation of the animated pieces, but I don't get how to fix the orientation. Or to get and set a full matrix.

It would be great if anyone could lead my way or even update my example file so I can try to analyze it.

Thanks,

Sali
