acc3d
Does anybody know if a DOP Network automatically generate sub-integer frames if you set sub steps higher than 1? For example, if I pass in some geometry from SOPs that's saved on disk in integer frames, does DOPs automatically interpolate subframes, of would I need to use a Timeblend to generate subframes. Skybar
No, it won't do that for you. If you have integer geo, and you want interpolated subframes, you have to use the Timeblend SOP.
acc3d
Great, thanks for confirming my assumption!
old school
The Wire and Cloth/Solid solvers can do swept collisions of surface colliders as these solvers will sub-step between global sub-steps. Drag the geometry through the sub-steps linearly. All other solvers (pyro, flip), you have to make sure the geometry moves correctly at sub-frame intervals.
