DOP sub steps - is timeblend necessary?

Does anybody know if a DOP Network automatically generate sub-integer frames if you set sub steps higher than 1?

For example, if I pass in some geometry from SOPs that's saved on disk in integer frames, does DOPs automatically interpolate subframes, of would I need to use a Timeblend to generate subframes.

The Wire and Cloth/Solid solvers can do swept collisions of surface colliders as these solvers will sub-step between global sub-steps. Drag the geometry through the sub-steps linearly.

All other solvers (pyro, flip), you have to make sure the geometry moves correctly at sub-frame intervals.
