kgoossens
Hi, is it possible to set up a system where the stiffness and damping is controlled using (point/volume) attributes? The idea is to have interior structures having varying properties. I've tried some approaches by adding field data to the finiteelementsolver and by trying to change the solidconfigureobject DA. There I see that both stiffness and damping are used by specific solidshare, solidstretch and solidvolume nodes. So is there a way to change this that the values can be different over the geometry? Or should I take a different route here by making the tetrahedralize densities different within the object? Cheers,
eetu
There are a lot of point attributes you can use, the list is on the help card for the solver, http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini13.0/nodes/dop/finiteelementsolver
kgoossens
Thanks Eetu, I think I have a taper worm in my brain . I was convinced that I checked the helpfile thoroughly and that it wasn't there.
