borisb2
Hi. If I want to create organic geometry in a SOP-solver (over time) - kind of like growing stuff for example - what would be a typical/common way to tackle that task? Creating points based on conditions from an existing surface and using add-sop to create lines etc.? using group/polyextrude based on conditions? Is there any common way at all? Thanks for pointing me in any good direction.
Jason
If I were you, I'd look at growing the "skeleton" of the plant/organic matter using SOP Solvers and or particles, and then surface them after the fact using PolyWire, FLIP surfacing, or whatever is appropriate based on the core geometry you're evolving. If you try to evolve the final geometry, you'll have a tougher job of managing your skin fidelity.
