magneto
Hi, In standard volumes, you are able to do this using the Volume SOP. But for VDBs, is there a way to create an empty volume using a fixed size or bbox? I just want to populate the values later myself using the Volume Stamp SOP. If the VDB already has 1 as density, then the stamping doesn't work correctly. Thanks
DLCool
Try this: emptyVDB.hipnc
Skybar
Just lay down a VDB SOP. The thing that makes VDBs awesome is that it only uses active voxels, so I think it's kinda destroying the purpose filling an entire box with empty voxels when you could just not create them at all until they are needed. I guess it kinda depends on the case, but when it comes to VDBs you need to think a bit different than with regular volumes. Example with the Volume Stamp SOP: volumeStamp_dv.hipnc
