Chops changing voxel size question

Hey guys! So a while back I had a question on this forum that I am still curious about and it would be to be able to somehow put point attributes into say a voxel scale to force the voxel scale to change based on the P.y of the particles. I tried all kinds of things to get this to work. Well today I started looking into it again but decided to use chops instead:

1. taking a geometry node

2. changing the settings in the geometry node to animated so it has multiple point attributes in there

3. isolating ty

4. using a math to force all the numbers of ty to go from .3 - 1

5. exporting this out to voxel scale did not work.

I'm beginning to think you just can't put chops or point attributes into the voxel scale or anything that can't accept point attributes. Can someone help explain to me why some nodes in Houdini do not accept point attributes of any kind? Why they don't iterate over all the points? Or is there a way to make them iterate over all the points myself? It would be cool to know which nodes in Houdini don't accept these types of things.

Thanks guys!

I guess? This doesn't have to be just with this voxel size issue. I am mainly just curious which nodes don't support point expressions and why? Like you can't put $PT in a lot of nodes. Like a lot of float value nodes you can't put point expressions which I mean it kindof makes sense but at the same time it doesn't. Like I said earlier, is it because these nodes don't iterate over all the points?

Thanks for your input by the way. Much appreciated! :)
