magneto
Hi, I have a very basic setup where I set the "active" attribute value of some points (packed prims) to 0 while others are 1. If I run the sim, without any constraints, the inactive pieces stay put as expected. Now I want to create a glue constraint network where the constraints have different strengths. I tried this but the packed object doesn't move at all. If I disable the active attribute setting, then I can see the glue network working correctly. How can I use them both in conjunction? Thanks
rayman
Make sure that all pieces you want to respond to simulation are active. Can you also provide a scene - I'm not 100% sure that I understand your problem - constraining to inactive pieces works for me. Cheers!
anim
if any of the mutually glued pieces is inactive, nothing will move until some impact force breaks some constraints so until the impacts it doesn't matter now big or small the strength is
magneto
Thanks guys, anim was right, some pieces were connected to inactive pieces
