Ripple solver object

Just wondering if anyone out there has any tips on getting the ripples to disperse from the object. I have attached a version that works how I want but I really want the object that is passing through to interact with the ripples. 

Here is what I have so far.

The idea is to be able to swap out the .obj that passes through it...

you can get waves to bounce off of objects by setting the wave speed attribute on your mesh to be 0 where the objects intersect your water surface.

You can do this with Ripple DOPs quite easily..

I am a newbe to houdini. Any chance you could guide me in the right direction? Post a file?
