Noise bump map? (sorry for simple question!)

I can see how to add noise as a displacement on a mantra surface, but how can you add procedural noise as a bump map? The displacement option takes a long time to render...

This seems like a simple task - !

 

and while I'm asking simple questions - how do you remove all unused shaders from a scene? (there's a command for this in Maya)

 

EDIT: found answer to second part - a little button on bottom right of Material Pallette says "Show only unassigned materials"
