angelous4x
Hello Peeps, my first post here. coming from softimage and loving Houdini Doing some tutorials form http://helloluxx.com/ jump start to Houdini vol 4. in the tut, we create to source particles one called target the other missle, the target has a pop wind and color. the missile has a pop attract. but once i go to goal and change the attraction type to "particles" and method type to point per particle, it doesn't work. tired the same thing in H14 and it worked just fine. wondering if it is a bug or if it changed in H15. thanks for your help cheers pop attract.hip
Yader
There's definitely a bug somewhere there. You can try to deactivate Add ID Attributes on one of your particle source nodes. Don't recall on which, follower or target particles, but I had the same problem. I'm assuming pop attract confuses particle id's and can't distinguish/identify properly follower from target particles. Yader
I just had a look at your file, turn off Add ID Attributes on your targets Pop Source and then Pop Attract should do it's job.
angelous4x
sweet thanks, just a little confused. wouldn't it need to had the Id added if its going to go per point id?
Yader
Well, I think so too. Matching the ID's of those two streams should bring the followers to the target particles, looks like a bug or the way Pop Attract works changed between H14 and H15.
