B.Walters
Is there a way to boost the indirect diffuse contribution of objects/lights/shaders in Mantr'as PBR render? I know arnold has this built into the light which is very handy. I was hoping for something similar in Mantra, but for the life of me I cannot find anything... fathom
i was thinking about this the other day.... i don't think there is any way aside from as a post-process in nuke or something. or you could maybe hack the pathtracer in some fashion. Guest tar
You add a multiple to the Indirect output of the compute lighting/ pbrlighting1. Indirect.hiplc
davpe
you can create a light that only cast indirect lighting. that is probably the simplest way.
jkunz07
You can use the switchlightingbsdf VOP and multiply the indirect and direct components to taste http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.0/nodes/vop/switchlightingbsdf
B.Walters
Thanks everyone - both the switchlightingbsdf VOP and the indirect light both worked! (Although neither was ideal - I either have to double the lights in my shot, or modify every shader... seems like there should be a parameter on the Mantra ROP)
davpe
on Mantra ROP, you can alter "Color limit decay" parameter. it is not boosting the indirect light itself but it can make it decay faster or slower.
Mzigaib
You could also use GI light with photons and in this light you can boost just the indirect contribution, as far as I know it is one of it`s features. I hope that helps. Cheers!

On their site, Support menu, SubmitBugs and Rfe. Thanks! Edited April 18, 2016 by tar nd
