Arthur Spooner
I want to control how commands are listed in Hcmd; rather then a long list, to break it up ? Also the first link doesn't display the option with the VCC command ?
Arthur Spooner
Let me rephrase the first question; as I see it didn't make sense, sorry. Typical Windows commands as used in Windows Shell aka DOS don't work in Hcmd, what commands do I have at my disposal when working with Hcmd, if any, equal to Windows Shell (DOS) ? I can't find any of the VCC commands in this link; http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.0/ref/utils/ ? Any tried printing the entire page, suppose this page; http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.0/vex/snippets#arrays? I can only print what is retained within the page and I can't find a way with Chrome or my printer settings to print the entire page ? I thought it's classical windows shell with houdini commands included, haven't used it much in Windows I guess for more houdini specific commands you can look into your $HFS/bin folder, where you can see you can use vcc, hkey, and many others that are not listed in that link
Arthur Spooner
$HFS/bin I don't have a folder within bin called $HFS ? I too was hoping that the houdini commands included would behave identical to the classical windows shell, for example "/w" flag so commands don't get cut off when commands are listed, doesn't work identical to the classical windows command. anim
well I guess on windows it would be something like %HFS% I guess it's just a path wherever your current houdini is installed
Arthur Spooner
There is no %NFS% folder or path on my system; and I checked almost every folder manually on the system related to Houdini.

holycause
you dont have a folder called HFS. $HFS points to your install folder ie in windows it will most likely be something like that: C:\program files\sidefx\houdini15.xxx
holycause
open a textport in houdini and type echo $HFS It will return your houdini dir folder path
