Atom
HI All, I have a BVH file from the CMU collection that I have sourced through the textport window to produce a .CMD and .bclip file. After processing I have a dancing bone rig in my scene. I also have a MakeHuman FBX character that I want to apply the motion to. The problem is that the bone count and names are different. I have tried the trick of using an expression in the rotation fields to try to copy the CHOP animation to the FBX rig but I get terribly twisting and bending as the result. Or no movement at all on some bones because of the naming difference. How do I re-target the mocap data to my custom rig? chop(chsop("../chop")+"/$OS:$CH) ap_BVH_rig.hiplc Edited July 12, 2016 by Atom
michael
unfortunately Houdini has no easy way of re-targeting mo-cap at this time... you can have a look at the file posted here: http://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/38797/ but if you have a large amount of mocap to process I'd look at MotionBuilder - since it's designed for that kind of work...and I think blender has a re-targeting tool set,
