victo160 Posted July 15, 2016 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Hey, i'm making a simulation of a side of a building exploding. I created the simulation of the wall destruction & debris. Now i want to make it look like an explosion blew through the wall. Just wondering the best way to go about it, I thought of creating an emitter inside the wall and have it emit the explosion at the same time the destruction SIM takes place. My problem is I can't set the activation of the explosion in time with the destruction. Tried key-framing the activation parameter but it just made the whole thing not work. Atom Posted July 15, 2016 Share Posted July 15, 2016 What you can do is cache out your sim files then read them back in and re-time them with a Time Shift node. Then you can art direct when the explosion actually occurs. When I am working on a multi-simulation scene I have a scene just for generating the simulations then I have another scene for playing back the generated results.
