Houdini couldn't read OBJ files

You can open the obj with other softwares? Just to remove the possibility of a corrupted file.

3ds Max 2017 and Maya 2017 could open OBJ files include that one.

I think it's not OBJ file corruption problem.

I believe i found your problem after replicating your scene. You have a number in your obj, and you probably imported it using the "sequence  option" (you can disable it when choosing the file). Right now you will see your object on frame 1969.

I just reported my post to the staff trying to quote your name :/

I didn't turn on "Sequence Option" and thank for help :)

Good call on the number. You also want to avoid putting spaces in names or paths. Use underscores _ instead.

I did it and won't load either.

22.PNG

and I did this, it won't work either...

I think something is problem with phython 2.7 in Windows 10 Redstone update.

You may try to open it with text editor and manually remove everything except geometry (vertices and faces), normals and uvs. There is no common OBJ library used by every software, and some apps like ZBrush may add to OBJes it's own stuff, which doesn't exist in specifications found online. Houdini also doen't support some OBJ features used by another apps. Just open the geo in another app and export FBX into Houdini. Blender should be fine.

That OBJ file was able to load on Houdini 15.5.480 :(
