anthonymcgrath
hey everyone i have a glass ball... it cracks open and i want a flip fluid inside to spill out. So i cached out the glass ball but now i want to bring it back as an animated collision object for the flip fluids. Can anyone give any advice on how to do this please? Otherwise for flip fluid iterations i need to keep resimulating the glass ball that i'm happy with overall.
Atom
Make it a Static Object then inside the AutoDOPNetwork make sure to set it to Use Deforming Geometry. On the collision tab make sure to Invert The Sign as well if the fluid is to reside within the object.
anthonymcgrath
@Atom - thanks for the reply - i did try this initially but it doesn't seem to be working. I've attached a scene for you - i'm probably over-egging it in the scene and overcomplicating it, but basically i cached out my glass ball being crushed... Then brought that into a new geometry node and made that a static object.. in the autodop i turned on use deforming geo as you explained.. and i bypassed the original rigidbodysolver in there for the glass bowl... but the fluid just drops through the cached one ..As i say i dont know if i'm overcomplicating it all really :/ crushed_glass_ball.hip
