[novice] Scale Time vs timescale

Hi
Wrestling with a FLIP tank sim. Attempting to get extreme slow motion of object dropping into water.

First of all I've discovered there is no way to do a low resolution simulation when it comes to FLIP simulations, since the particle separation seems to directly affect any physical forces and using a large particle separation (> 0.1) seems to be the only way to get faster previews without simulating once and caching.

Anyways, very confused by the fact there is both a Scale Time global parameter on the actual AutoDOP and there is ALSO a timescale parameter on the flipsolver node inside the AutoDOP.

Don't these do the same thing? Are they somehow interrelated? If I use a global Scale Time of 0.1 should I use the same value for timescale?
A few tests I've done seem to indicate setting both to the same value leads to predictable results.
