wardah2904 Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 hello.. i was wondering if anyone is having the same problem as me...whenver i load a geometry...it takes too much time to load but it evntually loads .However,when i load certain objects such a simple biped character...it just does not load it..ON the bottom bar it says (evaluating python,etc etc...it takes more than 3 minutes and obviously after i wont bother with it again and i'll try closing but it just wont close. btw im using the houdini apprentice non-commercial and its been 2-3 days since i downloaded it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Atom Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Check SideFX hardware requirements to make sure your system meets the minimum requirements. Also make sure you have some free space on your hard drive. I typically try to keep at least 30-40GB free on my main drive. Also, the official H16.0504.20 release had some viewport problems that have been fixed in the daily builds. I too experienced slow load time when I initially upgraded from H15.5 to H16 but have since installed a daily build and things are better. Yes, daily builds are available for Apprentice users.
