Guest tar
didn't look at your file but glows are almost always done in post aka aftereffects or Nuke etc.
ISUther
After effects is compositing software yes you can use different effects but Houdini is used to create a Scene-s etc. Many times you create effects in houdini not in after effects. Game developement cinamatic stuff etc. After effects is usless regarding that Edited November 2, 2017 by ISUther
Guest tar
replace aftereffects with the game engine I suppose - most users of Houdini are film/tv based tbh.
ISUther
I need to understand how to create it in Houdini not in after effects. This is why i asked the question. If i have multiple objects in the scene. And i move light object from point a to point b you will see that light object to interact with other objects in the scene. But as i understand if i render it out separately (the moving object that should emit light) and composit it in after effects or nuke i wont get it to interact with other objects. Or... And what way whould you render out the clip from Houdini? As tif sequence or ...? Edited November 3, 2017 by ISUther
stickman
there are two issues that are perhaps getting put together here... - light emission (the effect of the light effecting things around it) this is luminous value, or light emission, - glow (a lighter atmospheric haze around the luminous object) this is what Marty is saying to do in post
