Noobini
pretty sure I'm not breaking any new grounds here...but thought I'd post the file for other like minded noobs to play with. stickman
wow. This is really good stuff! Thanks for sharing! Love the way you break it down to blocks. The glue is to keep particles from getting caught between blocks? Or to keep the blacks from falling apart upon collision? I assume they're not just made static to make deformable collisions an option, right?
Noobini
the glue is so that effectively, all the boxes form a composite object (the pig) otherwise they'd fall apart...i'm pretty much at noob level so i made it static...next i should let it bounce around and see how that goes... the idea comes from watching 'old school' Wagner's latest tute where he said you use all the 'points' on the geo to make your own composite collider (with spheres)...then i thought well i'll go one better by converting each face into a simple, fast, box. (the polyreduce works a treat if you have tiny slivers in your geo) Edited February 14, 2018 by Noobini
Noobini
guess it works...bouncing around...(even without polyreduce, it was quite responsive) OrganicCollider2.hipnc Edited February 14, 2018 by Noobini
Noobini
Now to deforming/animated object...pure RBD here... Wiper.hipnc
Noobini
so I have a 2 step process to create individual boxes...with 2 polyextrudes....just realised that the 1st extrude can simply be done with a Facet/Unique Points...much easier this way..
