lisux
Hi all, i can read in the docs that null objects can act like nested HDA to promote a handler for you character. And, in fact, it seems to work in that way, if you create a null object inside the HDA you can acces to his handler one level up, from the HDA. This is the default behaviour for Nulls, craete quickly access for some character controls? Or i am missing something.
edward
In general, the picking is the same across all objects.
Mcronin
Object nulls are useful for lots of things... you can go into them and change the geometry to make custom handles, you can use them as like place holders or bookmarks in complicated networks, to apply pretranforms to objects or networks that are linked to them, to pass transform information into a blend, use them to hold transform information you are passing to and from CHOPs or SOPs. Sop level nulls can be used as placeholders or as a "do nothing" result in a switch statement. In subnets that are useful for clearly labeling inputs in the network view inside the subnet.
